Bus explosion

I was astounded to learn about the bus explosion that happened along Edsa-Buendia just this afternoon, at around 2 p.m..  4 people were killed and 14 were injured of the bomb blast, which happened inside a Newman Goldliner air-conditioned bus (plate number TXJ 710).  According to the news, the blast occurred just as the bus was approaching the loading bay area near the MRT-Buendia station on EDSA's Northbound lane, and the impact of the blast destroyed the bus' side windows and front and back windshields.  Those injured were brought to nearby hospitals. The police are still investigating whether this is a terrorist attack.  As of now, the road from Ayala to Buendia has been closed and motorists have been given alternate routes to take. (more details on this incident at GMANews)

Having traveled to and from work riding a passenger bus for 4 years, I feel fortunate and blessed that nothing like this happened to me, considering that it's a bit risky riding passenger buses without someone checking bags or belongings of passengers loading the bus.  I really feel sad that a tragic incident like this happened while the year is still fresh and I feel sorry for the families and loved ones of the victims, especially those who were killed.  I pray that justice be given to these people who are innocent victims of this inhuman act.
