It already happened a couple of times that I was mistakenly thought of as a sister instead of a mom to my kids. When my daughter had her field trip, one of her teachers thought that I was her sister. And a couple of days ago when I was with my kids shopping for a birthday gift, a lady also thought that I was their elder sister. There must be something wrong with their eyes, don't you think? (lol!)
I know it kind of shows in my body that I already have kids (because of my belly bulge, which I'm trying hard to trim down), but some stranger would really think that I'm not a mom. Before I had my little boy (my 2 girls were still little at that time), some of my friends and officemates were a bit surprised to learn that I was already married and that I already have 2 kids. Back then, I didn't have a big tummy, so it's pretty easy to fool strangers into thinking that I’m still single (lol!).
I’m thankful for the fact that even though I'm turning 32 in a few days and after all the stress and all of life and of being a full-time mom, I still look young. I guess it really helps when you're happy with what you’re doing and when you’re happy with your life. J
