It's not offensive - it's beautiful!

photo taken from Miranda Kerr's blog at koraorganics.com
I've always admired women who are breastfeeding and have breastfed their babies.  I wasn't really successful into breastfeeding my 3 children because I have inverted nipples and my kids just had a hard time latching on to my breast, so I used breast pumps to extract the milk instead.  It was something that I've really wanted to do as a mom.

Miranda Kerr is one of my favorite super models because I just love her angelic face and beautiful body (which I still dream of having even though I have 3 kids. Lol!), so when I saw her picture breastfeeding her and Orlando Bloom's newborn baby, Flynn, on her blog, I admired her even more.  It was a very natural and lovely picture of a mom bonding with her baby - and even though she's already a mom, she still looked very pretty.

Well, there are negative remarks circulating around that labels this photo of her exposing her breast offensive, immodest and even disgusting. I just found it weird that other people would say such things for this breastfeeding photo, which is just, for me, a mere photo a mom and baby bonding together.  Well, she's exposed her entire body being a Victoria Secret model and people see nothing wrong or offensive about it, so why label this mom and baby picture negatively?

I probably just see it differently because I am already a mom, but for everyone else who thinks otherwise, I guess they're just a bunch of narrow-minded peeps.

  2. I don't find it offensive either. I'm also a mom and I also breastfeed my kids. I admire that model because she chose to breastfeed her child unlike others who doesn't want to because of the reason that their breast will sag or will be deformed. I sometimes hate those people who judge you when they see you breastfeed your child especially in public places even if you cover your breast.
